The part to be repaired must be clean and free from grease. Mix the required amount of Kit-mastic using equal parts of resin and hardener and press the
paste firmly onto the defective area. Use a wooden block or similar device to carefully seal areas under pressure before applying Kit-mastic and fix it with an adhesive tape. Repairs can also be carried out below water, since the
material hardens also in water. Depending on the ambient temperature, the time available for subsequent machining is between 15 and 20 minutes. Drying times: 25°C / 2 hours, 60°C / 20 min., 100°C / 5 min. To obtain a good
surface, glue a plastic foil onto the material and remove it after drying. After hardening, Kit-mastic can be drilled, filed, ground and lacquered. |
