|
- Surface must be clean, dry and free from rust.
- To ensure good adherence of the spray, lightly sand the area to be sprayed with fine (600 grit) sandpaper.
- Carefully clean up all of the sanding dust. Wipe the area with acetone
- Hold can 20-30 cm (10-12 inches) from the surface you are repairing, and apply spray with a short stroking motion over the patch. Build up the spray coating slowly. After approximately 1 minute, apply another coat.
- If you get a run or sag, wipe the spray off with a clean cloth and alcohol. sand again if necessary, and start over.
- To avoid spatters, clean off the nozzle of the spray tip between passes. If the nozzle starts to clog, hold the can upside-down and blow a little propellant through to clean it out.
- For maximum durability the spray should be allowed to dry for four days before the fixture is used.
